Deco Enameled Spoon Handle Earrings, made from Vintage Sterling Silver White Guilloche Spoons K0304
These dramatic earrings used to be the handles of vintage English enameled coffee spoons! They are made from sterling silver, and features a gorgeous Art Deco design, with white glass enamel laid over a striped pattern that was machined into the silver. They are double sided! The type of enameling is called Guilloche (Ghee-oh-SHAY), where artists engrave a precise pattern into the metal before applying the enamel.
To make the earrings, I cut the bowl and shank off the handles, grind and polish the cut edge smooth and then carefully drill holes to accommodate sterling ear wires. Since this is a real, vintage item, there may be a few minor scratches and scuffs, or some minor chipping and crazing of the glass enamel. Consider it part of its vintage charm!
Hypoallergenic ear wires are available upon request at no extra charge. Convo me if you need posts or clip-ons!
